It's been 5 months

Good afternoon to all my crafty friend's & followers.
It's has been 5 months since my last post,
I can not believe how fast time flies.
I have been keeping my self busy but now its time to get back in to my crafting as I have missed it so much.
All tho I don't have as much time on my hands to craft I will attempt to blog at least once a week.

I have gone back to work after many years of staying at home as a loving mum and wife. I am now working at Waitrose. I am working in the Operations section and I enjoy it very much. I have learnt many new thing's from the training I received. I have also met new people and have made many new friends over the past month.

Hope all my Crafty friends are doing well?
I'm sorry I left it so long, I'm back now.

Steam Punk

My card featured in post this was made for my friend Nick.
I used my Tinkering with Steam punk Cd from My Craft Studio.
I used one of the frame cards for a different look.

To embellish the frame i cut out some gears using Tim Holtz Gadget gears die from Sizzix.
I then heat embossed them using thick embossing powder.
I cut out Nick's name using the Tim Holtz  Vintage market  die from Sizzix and also heat embossed them.
I hope you like it as its a little different from my usual style cards.

Liebster award

Early on in the week i was presented with a Liebster award  for my Blog from my lovely friend Diane.
Thank you so much Diane for your kind words.
Here is the link to Diane's blog, it fantastic.

Now my job is to present this award to 5 more lucky recipiants.

Liebster is German for Dearest, but can also mean Beloved or Favourite.
Now with all blog awards there are 'rules', and Liebster is no different:
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog - done
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you - done
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog - done
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed (see below)
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

I'm having trouble finding blogs suitable as the under 200 figure, really narrows things down. Some blogs I follow also don't show the amount of subscribers. Another issue I've found is that people I want to award it to, have already had it.

I'll hold onto it for a while as I don't want to just hand it out for the sake of it; I want it to be given with meaning :-) So watch out; you might be getting one soon.
If I ever reach 200 followers I'll be absolutely amazed and very happy, although then there's a slight pressure to 'perform', which I don't do very well. I'm just me. Doing my do. Enjoying my crafty stuff but if more people want to watch from the sidelines, then that's fine by me.

Dawn's Crafty Cards & Friends

Each month i join in with a card swap at Dawn's Crafty Cards & Friends.

Here are my latest cards for the swaps.

Rambling rose by Creative expressions.

Valentines treat project

Good morning,
I would like to share a project i done for the design team for Queen of my craftroom.
I hope you like it and maybe you could give it ago at you own Valentines treat challenge over at

For this project i used a old jelly bean jar.
I decorated the lid with flat back pearl gems and used glossy accents to hold them in place.
I made the spiral of beads with clear seed beads and wire. I used my glue gun to fix them on to the jar.
For the rose i used a small Marianne flower die and applied glitter to add a little bit of sparkle.
I found a heart that i cut out a while ago on the Cricut and tucked it under the beaded spiral.
To finish off my project i attached a heart charm that can be removed and put on a necklace of phone charm.
Content of the jar is pink tissue paper and some heart shaped chocolates.

I would also like to enter my project in to
anything goes challenge over at Ditzy-craftymess.
Please follow the link below if you would like to take part.

Please feel free to leave a comment.
Your feed back is much appreciated.

A Nice Tipple

I have just made a quick card using Hunkyory, Autumn Dream Collection ( A Nice Tipple ).

For the base card I used a polka dot A4 sheet of Hunkydory card and Spellbinder die
Grand Nestabilities Label's 23.

Spellbound

Good afternoon to all my friends, hope your all having a good day.

I have made a quick anniversary card using Spellbinder die's and embossing folder.

I used the Ironwork Accents die for the topper.
I cut out 2 layers 1 white and 1 black and then matted them one on top the other.

To start off I use a 5"x5" scalloped edge card and embossed it with one of my folders.

The butterfly was cut out using Spellbinders
Grand Shapabilities
Wonderful wings by Donna-Salazar.

I finished my card with gems and drew the trail and antennie with a black fine liner pen.
