Dolls House progress

Hi every one,
I promised to share my progress of making my dolls house so here we go.
So far I removed all of the die cut pieces from the sheets and sanded them down.
I then painted the out side walls with white paint as a primer them coated them in green for the main colour.
I decided it would probably be best to wall paper the inside before I assembled it.
I assembled the main structure using my holt melt glue gun.
I was pleased with it....but green looked horrible so I then paint it with a cream texture paint.
I'm happy with my progress, I just have to find time to do the out side decor.

Thank you for taking time to read my blog
:)

Flower time

Good evening everyone,
Today I thought I would have a play at
Making some flowers with different kinds of fabrics.

I think that I prefer the felt one's, my favourite is the red one as I think it looks a lot like a poppy.

Thank you for looking and please leave a comment below.

Dolls house day one

l was so excited today when my dolls house arrived.
Since I was a little girl I have always wanted one.
I thought I would blog about my journey while I make and decorate my house. I know this will not be done over night but I hope you will enjoy sharing my progress over the coming months.
I have got my table out of my shed and set  it  up in the living room.

Under the sea

Last week I got in to a right old sticky mess with some bling, MDF seahorse's and some glossy accents.
I made these 2 seahorse's for a very special couple for there birthdays.

They were fun to make but took a good few hours.
Just another crafty idea to get you inspired :)

The past and the present

Mother's Day is a very special time for most of us. Some of us are less fortunate as we have lost out mums.
At Christmas I always feel very low as my mum spent her last Christmas dinner with me. That was Christmas 2001, she was very ill and didn't enjoy herself. Christmas just gone (2012) I was missing mum terribly so I decided to make a scrapbook page of her. In this picture my mum was 44 years old, it was the year before she was diagnosed with cancer. My mum was always so happy and playful. She was such a loving and tolerant person. My mum was my best friend and I really do miss her so much.

It's been 5 months

Good afternoon to all my crafty friend's & followers.
It's has been 5 months since my last post,
I can not believe how fast time flies.
I have been keeping my self busy but now its time to get back in to my crafting as I have missed it so much.
All tho I don't have as much time on my hands to craft I will attempt to blog at least once a week.

I have gone back to work after many years of staying at home as a loving mum and wife. I am now working at Waitrose. I am working in the Operations section and I enjoy it very much. I have learnt many new thing's from the training I received. I have also met new people and have made many new friends over the past month.

Hope all my Crafty friends are doing well?
I'm sorry I left it so long, I'm back now.

Steam Punk

My card featured in post this was made for my friend Nick.
I used my Tinkering with Steam punk Cd from My Craft Studio.
I used one of the frame cards for a different look.

To embellish the frame i cut out some gears using Tim Holtz Gadget gears die from Sizzix.
I then heat embossed them using thick embossing powder.
I cut out Nick's name using the Tim Holtz  Vintage market  die from Sizzix and also heat embossed them.
I hope you like it as its a little different from my usual style cards.

Liebster award

Early on in the week i was presented with a Liebster award  for my Blog from my lovely friend Diane.
Thank you so much Diane for your kind words.
Here is the link to Diane's blog, it fantastic.

Now my job is to present this award to 5 more lucky recipiants.

Liebster is German for Dearest, but can also mean Beloved or Favourite.
Now with all blog awards there are 'rules', and Liebster is no different:
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog - done
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you - done
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog - done
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed (see below)
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

I'm having trouble finding blogs suitable as the under 200 figure, really narrows things down. Some blogs I follow also don't show the amount of subscribers. Another issue I've found is that people I want to award it to, have already had it.

I'll hold onto it for a while as I don't want to just hand it out for the sake of it; I want it to be given with meaning :-) So watch out; you might be getting one soon.
If I ever reach 200 followers I'll be absolutely amazed and very happy, although then there's a slight pressure to 'perform', which I don't do very well. I'm just me. Doing my do. Enjoying my crafty stuff but if more people want to watch from the sidelines, then that's fine by me.

Dawn's Crafty Cards & Friends

Each month i join in with a card swap at Dawn's Crafty Cards & Friends.

Here are my latest cards for the swaps.

February's theme was butterflies

March theme is flowers

Promarkers and stamps

This is a digi image from the Internet but i am not sure of the website i found it on.
This card is for project for Sunday challenge as part of the design team of
Why not pop over and join in the challenge.

I used a unmounted stamp from the Lili of the valley for the next 2 cards card.

The rose on this card is from a unmounted rubber stamp set called
Rambling rose by Creative expressions.

I made this little wall hanging for a couple who have just had a baby.
I used a Glitter girls board and the free boofle stamp i got with this months
Do crafts magazine.
