The past and the present

Mother's Day is a very special time for most of us. Some of us are less fortunate as we have lost out mums. 

At Christmas I always feel very low as my mum spent her last Christmas dinner with me. That was Christmas 2001, she was very ill and didn't enjoy herself. Christmas just gone (2012) I was missing mum terribly so I decided to make a scrapbook page of her. In this picture my mum was 44 years old, it was the year before she was diagnosed with cancer. My mum was always so happy and playful. She was such a loving and tolerant person. My mum was my best friend and I really do miss her so much. 

 

Happy Anniversary

Good morning all, I would like to share with you my first card I have made in a while.

I have this very pretty Anniversary card for good friends and lovely couple Leonie & Colin.

For the box I used some Hunkdory adorable scorable card and a 

pretty topper

 For the shape of the card I used a

Glitter Girls embossing board.

 I finished the card with some pearl hat pins, pearl gems, lilac

ribbon and a silver peel off.

It's been 5 months

Good afternoon to all my crafty friend's & followers.

It's has been 5 months since my last post,

I can not believe how fast time flies.

I have been keeping my self busy but now its time to get back in to my crafting as I have missed it so much.

 All tho I don't have as much time on my hands to craft I will attempt to blog at least once a week.

 

I have gone back to work after many years of staying at home as a loving mum and wife. I am now working at Waitrose. I am working in the Operations section and I enjoy it very much. I have learnt many new thing's from the training I received. I have also met new people and have made many new friends over the past month.

 

Hope all my Crafty friends are doing well?

I'm sorry I left it so long, I'm back now.

Steam Punk

My card featured in post this was made for my friend Nick.

I used my Tinkering with Steam punk Cd from My Craft Studio.

I used one of the frame cards for a different look.

To embellish the frame i cut out some gears using Tim Holtz Gadget gears die from Sizzix.

I then heat embossed them using thick embossing powder.

I cut out Nick's name using the Tim Holtz  Vintage market  die from Sizzix and also heat embossed them.

I hope you like it as its a little different from my usual style cards.
